What to Do in 100 Degree Weather!

Well, first you pull out the wading pool at home and play in it all afternoon. It doesn't make the heat go away, but if definetly makes it more tolerable.

When you wake up the next morning and it's still 100 degrees, you head up the canyon to spend some time at Snowbird.

Such a familiar place and it holds so many great summer memories for me.

Hopefully this will become a place for Libbi to build great summer memories. This is her 4th summer here and she loves to come. I think it's because she knows she gets to go swimming and hang out with Grandma.

Libbi's first trip to Snowbird at 2 weeks old.

Libbi getting ready to jump and jump and jump into the water.

Currently, we are hanging out having a little nap time and some downtime before heading off to the park and maybe to hike up the trail. No worries, all this fun in the sun this weekend has given me quite the sunburn. The good news is, Libbi is just getting tan. And she's a little fish!

Happy Birthday Princess

Four years ago today our beautiful little girl was born. Libbi Marie Boulden was born at 8:15 pm and weighed in at 10 lbs 6 oz and about 21 inches long. Libbi has been such a joy to have in our lives and I have loved being her mom. She was such a good little baby.

Libbi has always been little miss independent and loves her family. Especially her Daddy. They have an amazing bond that started long before she was born. Even now, he calms her down the best and she will snuggle up and stop being busy only for him. She loves to be near her dad doing whatever it is he is doing and learning how to be big. Libbi loves to help Kyle work on his mustang and asked me the other day after it had been raining why there was oil under the truck. I had to inform her it was just water. Anything that goes wrong, it's fine because "Daddy will fix it for me!" She loves to spend her days off at home with Kyle just hanging out. I'm scared for when she's old enough to date. I don't think Kyle is going to allow it. I might have to talk some sense into him, but then again, I might not let her date either. She is my beautiful daughter and I'm not sure I want to share her. Lucky for me, I have many more years to worry about it.

So Happy To You! My beautiful strong independent little Princess. I love you more and more each and every day and miss you when you are away. I hope you have a great 4 year old year with lots of learning and loving and funny things.

"I will love you forever, I'll like you for always as long as I'm living, my baby you'll be."

Happy 4th of July

Our day was great. We started with the annual parade in Centerville. Kyle and Libbi Dad, Grandpa, Grandma, Carly, Emily and Missy Kjerstin and Dan Libbi Kjerstin and Libbi Grandma Cynthia was walking in the parade with her primary kids, so we saw her when she stopped by to say hi. After the parade, we took Libbi over the festival at the park, but it was super crazy busy, and we as the parents, decided we did not want to stand in the long lines. So we went back to Grandma's house for a BBQ. Libbi fell asleep on the way home and then slept for a few hours....so did I. Kyle went to work on his mustang. But the best part of the 4th of July is when the fireworks start. We took Libbi to see the fireworks at Murray park. Libbi waiting for fireworks Fireworks....ever noticed how when you try to take a picture, it always ends up blurry? More Fireworks
Some video of the fireworks with Libbi commentary. After fireworks, it was time for the show at home and some sparklers. Fireworks at home

We had a great 4th of July. I am so glad that I live in a country where we are free. I am so grateful for the men and women who have fought and continue to fight for our freedom. Thank you! Hope everybody had a great day!

What the Summer Weather Brings.....

This is what happens when the weather gets warm and the trucks run properly!
