Libbi and Other Things....

I got my new glasses last night...they are just glasses, nothing fabulous. Libbi was on one last night and had multiple funny lines. We were at Travis and Sheri's house and Travis wanted a hug before he would give her a treat. She finally decided to give him a hug and he pulled out the magic bag. It was full, full of chocolate treats. Manda couldn't find her black shoes and Libbi told her "That's ok, we'll get you some new ones tomorrow. Just put your old ones on right now!" According to everybody who could see her face, her eyes got big and she giggled, Sheri called it the 'I hit the jackpot' laugh. She got her handful of chocolate and ran away. Then while we were all at dinner and she got shy about ordering her dinner. The way everything worked out, she was sitting between Travis and Kyle and I was on the other end of the table. The big girls she was, she ordered her own dinner by pointing to the pictures she had previously circled. Dinner when smoothly. When we got home last night, Kenzi couldn't find her alarm clock and Libbi told her, "That's ok, we'll get a new one tomorrow, what color do you want?" Silly girl, she must be made of money. One day she gave me "money" to buy her dinner. A million dollars to be exact and told me to please had it to the lady. I tried to let it go, but she insisted that I give it to her. I love her and her 3 year old moments!

Look Who Got a Hair Cut!

This is what it looked like dry: Kinda stringy at the bottom.
She almost looks like her mom in this one.
It was so uneven and unhealthy at the bottom. Thanks to all the eating she did with her hair.
This is what it looks like wet. (Yes, she is reading the toys'r'us add.
Ready, set.....this is what it looks like now:
Pardon the kiddi porn... But look how cute it is!

This was lots shorter than I wanted it to be, but it's so cute and it does a little natural curl under on her shoulders. I love it now and she seems to like it. It is the first time in 3 years that we have cut her hair and I had a moment when I thought I would shed a tear. However, I look at it this way, 1) It's just hair and I cut it, not her! and 2) It will grow back! Leave me a comment and tell me what you think!

It's Not Aggie Day, It's Park Day!

Well, whatever Libbi said, it really was Aggie day! They got their win. Utah State 42 Idaho 17. Nicely done. Libbi had her game day shirt on, which is what prompted the above line. We missed Meat Fest with my family, but that's ok. I'm not sure we could have talked Libbi into sitting through a football game. (However, she's done it the last 2 years just fine.) So instead, we went to the park for one of the last, dwindling warm days of summer.
We had a lot of fun, until the big black clouds moved in and it started to rain. But we got some fun pictures of Libbi at the park yesterday.

Libbi Climbing on the Fence to see the Ducks. She did this a few times.

Making Dinner for Mommy of wood chips, Yum!Libbi and her Aunt Kenzi on the slide.
Showing her Aggie Pride!
Singing her little heart out in her stick microphone. Don't ask me what she was singing, it was a some made up song.Libbi dancing to her own made up song.

And since we didn't make it to Meat Fest, this is what we had for dinner. Kyle makes some of the best steaks! Thanks Honey, they were delicious!

Funny Story

This is what I heard from a little voice in the back of the truck yesterday morning on our way to school and work:

"Mommy, wanna hear a funny story?!"
Me: "Sure"
"My Granmma has the Very Hungry Caterpillar book just like me, only hers is bigger. That's pretty funny, huh!"
Me: "Yeah, that's pretty funny!"

The Weekend of Fun

This weekend, we had plans with Kyle's brother and his girlfriend to go golfing. We had a tee time for the Mountain Dell course in Parley's canyon at like 10:30 am. On a weekend, that's an insane hour for all of us to be up AND out the door. It was so nice to get to just spend time with Kyle. Libbi....she got to go to the state fair with Gram and Kenzi, but that is another post that includes pictures that I don't have. It was fun to hang out with Curtis and Margo, just because we don't. Kyle and Curtis are such good friends besides being brothers that it's always nice when they can hang out. It was a pretty uneventful round of golf. They lost quite a few balls, chased more into the hazard area and according to the score card, Kyle had 5 legit pars. The final scores ended up being.....well, the point is Kyle won. We got to one hole and as we got to the tee box, we could see something moving across the tee box. This is what we found when we got up to it. It was a cute little fuzzy caterpillar. Margo wanted to pick it up and hold it, but Kyle told her it would bite. So we left him on the ground, however he was a fast little guy. We got to the 16th hole and saw this little guy. I was lucky to get a picture of him, he was also a fast little squirrel. It was a beautiful day to golf and I even got a little sun burn on my arms. It was the perfect temperature, (we thought it might have been a little chilly and the wind was blowing a little, but that's canyon weather for you.) We had fun and since we haven't gotten to spend much time with Margo, it was great to get to know her a little bit.

Here is the other exciting news from this weekend.......I'm getting glasses. Yup, it's true, my perfect 20/20 vision is no more. I had a scary moment a couple of weekends ago and a constant headache that reminded me that I needed to have my eyes checked. So Saturday afternoon Libbi was fortunate enough to get to run Mommy Errands. We went and got my hair cut and thinned and then went to the eye doctor. (I was hoping that by decreasing the amount of hair on my head, it would help my headache by not being so heavy.) Well, the eye doctor says I have enough of a far sighted problem to need glasses, but it's not severe enough to need contacts. So I got to pick out my glasses that will be mostly for night driving. They should be here in about a week. So much for my 20/20 all around vision. Maybe this will help decrease the daily headaches.

That's about as fun as our lives get, until I can get fair pictures uploaded, this is it. Below are more golf shots, it was such a pretty day, too bad it's been such a dry summer.

Work Fun Part 2

Guess where I went yesterday for my team outing?

Things I heard while attending the team outing:

"Her flat line is a little to pointed, but her utter is much better than her mother's was."

"You should have come with us, then you could have seen: the old man leaning on the garbage can, and a guy with his shirt off and a lady in a belly shirt with her gut hanging out."

"What exactly makes you qualifed to judge......"

"I'm Going To Die In Here!"

Do you ever have those days, where you just can't sit at your desk and work?!?! Today is one of those days and in the famous words of a cute sunbeam of my mom's "I'm going to die in here!" It's a great story, you should ask her to tell it to you one day. I'm having one of those days. However, I heard lot's of Libbisms today. Last night as we tucked her in for the 5th time, she told me that she would just tuck herself in because she wanted her blanket to be splat. Around 2 am this morning she woke me up to tell me that she had a bloody nose, but not a white bloody nose, but a red bloody nose. It was pretty funny. She has come to the conclusion that when she has a runny nose that she either has a bloody nose that is white or a bloody nose that is red. I guess to her, it all feels the same. Well, when she woke up this morning and I saw her in the light, she had blood spread all over her face and pillow. In the middle of the night, I just wipped her nose and handed her a towel to hold on her nose. (If you turn the light on when she's been asleep, it wakes her up and she is awake for hours. I was trying to avoid that in the middle of the night.) This morning she had another bloody nose (thanks to the high pollen count going on right now and the dry air). We cleaned it up and as we were in the car on our way to preschool, she sneezed. After she finished sneezing she said, "It's ok Mom, it's just the white kind of blood, not the red kind." She says some pretty funny things!

Three Year Olds Do Funny Things

Guess where I found Libbi today:

Guess what she was trying to get?

HER STICKERS! She got them, but it was so funny that she was being a little monkey that I had to take pictures of her and post them. I guess putting things out of reach isn't really an option any more since she will figure out a way to just climb right up. Sometimes she a little to smart for her own good.

So I've been meaning to post this since the night I stumbled apon the below picture:

This is of her little people, she has multiple sets of them, but her favorite is her camping set. So the night we got home from camping at Current Creek, I came in to put her to bed and this is how I found her all her little people. I thought it was pretty funny. She's pretty smart!

Lazy Saturdays

Today is one of those days where I am not motivated to do anything. Therefor we are having a lazy Saturday. I'm glad that once a month, Libbi and I are entilted to a lazy Saturday while Kyle is at work. So far, we've watched Enchanted 3 times, which is what prompted Libbi to want to play dress up. So here is the fairy princess:

These are her favorite shoes, she would wear them everywhere if I would let her. Tomorrow I'll try to be motivated, today, it's just not happening.

Labor Day Fun

This was the one moment I was glad I wasn't in the car, but outside taking pictures.

After a long rainy Sunday evening and Monday morning, we took the new truck to play in the mud. It did great...Dusty's however, did not. Things we learned, just because you can make it through the mud hole does not mean your made it out clear. The picture below is Dustin pulling Dusty out of the mud hole. As Dusty went up hill coming out of the mud hole, his engine shut off and they couldn't get it to kick over again and start.
So they got under it, played with the wires, tried to jump it, tried to pull start it and nothing worked. Eventually, we towed it back to the entrance and went to play in the gravel pit and wait for the trailer.
Kyle wants me to tell you, the reader, that he made it up the hill everybody has struggled with in the past with no problems. Right up the rock hill he went, he was so fast that I didn't have time to get a picture of the event. Thanks to the new mud terrain tires and the manual transmission.

It was a beautiful day for four wheeling, but a little bit chilly. These are some pictures of Libbi Marie. I loved the sunflowers out there and was glad she was being slightly cooperative to take pictures. She is so darn cute, I wish she wasn't such a stinker about having her picture taken.
Just so you all know, the gravel pit has officially been crossed off the places of optional four wheeling places. Every time we go out there, something major breaks. Usually on our truck. We have broken multiple hubs (whatever those are), we had the transmission in our white explorer go out while we were there, ripped a hole in the muffler when we were there this spring, and Josh rolled his jeep that was less than 24 hours old, thankfully he walked away laughing and fine. So this was it, the last time we are going out there to ruin anybodies vehicle. Currently, Travis, Dusty and Kyle are working on putting one of the spare motor's in Dusty's truck.
Oh, Mom, I just want you to know that I have worn both of my new shirts and gotten multiple compliments on them. Thanks for making me branch out, it's not always as bad as I think it is. Off to bed we go....3 year olds are grouchy when they are tired!
