Weekend Fun......2nd Try!

Libbi and I spent Saturday outside planning in the yard and cleaning out the truck. Sunday we went to Grandma Cynthia's for dinner and an afternoon of fun with "Aunt" Jen and Dennis and the girls. It was fun to hang out with them and it's always fun to let the girls play. A million thanks go to Grandma Cynthia for her never ending energy and for braving the park with two 3 year olds! She is amazing and I love her! Below are the pictures of the constructive activities and those that were not so constructive. Thanks for coming to play with us, we had lots of fun!

Kyle spent his day riding his dirt bike. I tried to load some video of it, but I can't get it to work. So far all videos do is make the blog view funny. I'll have to work on it and figure it out.

It Finally Happened!

I walked into the kitchen this evening to find a chunk of dark brown hair on the stool.

She was so proud of her self for cutting her own hair. I was mad. But before she cut her hair, she had rubbed her chicken nugget bbq dipping sauce in the ends of her ponytails. Like it was hair mousse or hair gel. Kyle and I did not think it was funny. As often as she "cuts" things, it was bound to happen. I was so proud of her for resisting the urge to cut her own hair like most 3 year olds with scissors....well, all of the scissors have now been put on top of the fridge and will not be given back to the 3 year old. She cut a good chunk of hair out, because even as I washed all the bbq sauce out of her hair, I had almost handfuls of hair. Oh well, bound to happen!

Happy Love Day!

We had a fun, but quiet day. Libbi and I went to my parents house for Sunday Valentine dinner and had fun. I love Valentine's day, just because I love to remind those people close to me that I love them. It was fun to watch Libbi this year send her Valentines to her friends at school and to cut out hearts for a "heart attack" and mail them to my sisters. I hope they enjoyed their love from Libbi. Below are some pictures from cookie decorating after Valentine dinner! I hope you all had a Happy Valentine's Day!

Ok, so the pictures are in reverse order, but you can see the 3 year olds process to decorating cookies!

This is What it's All About......

Well, it's been a boring, but eventful week. We found this:

So much for my fabulous sleep at night. We only had one meltdown after we found the remote and then said, bedtime is for sleeping and not for tv watching. And that been the end of the meltdowns.

This week marks one year being cancer free for my Mom! That's always good news and I'm so greatful for that. Way to go Mom! We love you!

Libbi went to have a sleepover at Grandma's to see Beauty and the Beast at Woods Cross high. Grandma said she loved it and wanted to have princess hair, just like Belle. I learned how to do princess hair today.

Yesterday Libbi spent the day dressed up as a princess in her princess dress. We even went to pick Kyle up in it and to see Grandpa. I didn't care, Kyle said she needed clothes on. Dress up is normal, I bet there are days when my mom gave up the battle and just let us go out in our dress up clothes instead of fighting to put real clothes on.

Today Libbi and I went to Grandma and Grandpa Parrish's house for birthday dinner for Aunt Ellen. We had delicious Salmon and lots of veggies and fruit. Libbi's favorite! We even got to drink out of "goblins." Libbi's job was to put a napkin on everybody's place. She laid them all out on the couch first and then picked up one little blue one and one large red heart one and then put them on every plate. She did a good job, minus making me crazy for having to organize first and then put them on. Libbi looked so cute in her jumper that she got from Grandma and Grandpa Parrish for Christmas. She even held still for a moment so I could take some pictures.

She even let me take a picture with Grandpa!

When you can get her to take a picture, she loves to pose.

She is starting to look like such a little girl. I love her in jumpers because I think she looks like she could walk out the door at any moment to go to school.

Tomorrow starts a new week. That means new adventures. One of these days I'm going to figure out how to load video on here....one day!

Super Bowl Fun!

It's always more fun to watch the Super Bowl when you have an interest in the teams that are playing the game. So lucky us.....The Steelers were playing. That made watching the game more fun, espcially since we got to watch the game with our neighbors the Samuelson's and their fanatic family. Kyle even let me be a Steelers fan for the day! Lucky me! (The rest of the time, he says I can't be a fan since I don't care that much and I didn't care before he and I met.) Even Libbi got in the fun with her yellow and black ribbons and her pink Steelers hoodie. She was pretty darn cute. It sure helps that they won. Otherwise, letting me be a fan for the day would ruin it and Kyle would have a new superstition that if I have on Steelers gear, then they would lose, therefore I'm not allowed to dress in attire. We had fun, thanks to the Samuelson's and their generosity.

There is a new addition at our house......a NEW orginal Nintendo system. We found a new Nintendo system at a game store in the mall. It's the orginal system in a new form. We found a few orginal games, including a Seasme Street game that Libbi is getting pretty good at. It's been a lot of fun to play, but I'm sure it will get old, really fast.

Libbi lost the remote to the TV in our bedroom, so now it's stuck on an AUX channel. Needless to say, we've all been sleeping really well in the last week. That's about it for us. Nothing to exciting going on.
