Lately I have been trying to teach her appreciation for things. So when she finishes her dinner, she can't leave the table without one of us checking her plate. Not that she is a bad eater, but we have a 3 bite rule, you don't have to finish it, but you have to have 3 bites of it. Last night we were sitting at the table eating dinner and talking and I hear from her chair.
"Mom, Thank You for Dinner. May I be excused?"
Usually I have to prompt the line above, but last night, she said it so sweetly and quietly that I let her go. (She ate most of her dinner.) When she walked back over to the table to be apart of the conversation, I asked her to tell Dad what she had told me before she got up. She looked right at me and said, "Daddy didn't make dinner, you did."
I love her!
