It's Date Night!

Ok, so this isn't a great picture, but it's of us and we have very few of them! I have to tell you all a little story. One time when I was between 8 and 10, my parents were invited to attend a Jazz game with some friends of theirs. I don't remember what made me mad, but something set me off and I was EXTREMELY mad that my parents were going to a Jazz game and I didn't get to go and I had to go to my cousins house (ok, so they lived across the street) to be baby sat. I vividly remember laying on my twin size bed mad that my parents were going and I wasn't. I remember my mom coming in the room and telling me it was time to go and yelling at her through my tears. And I remember being mad about it all night. (Not that I'm still mad about it or anything! I'm not stubborn and I don't hold a grudge!) I don't know why I cared, I'm not a huge Jazz fan or anything. Fast forward a few years and Kyle got invited to go to a suite for a playoff game with his brother and some friends. I was mad that I couldn't go either, but for many reasons. I tell you all the story because last night, my cute boy took me to my very first Jazz game. You can't see where are seats were, but we were on row 16 in section M. Behind the basket on the visitor's bench side. We went to the game with Kyle's boss Rick and his wife Cali. We had a lot of fun and I personally want to thank Ron Burt for getting us tickets to the game and I want Rick to know that I think it's awesome that he thought of Kyle and got us tickets also, and for recognizing that Kyle wants to do this and has helped him progress. I appreciate it immensely. Even though they lost, we had fun. Did you all know that Shaquille O'Neal is still playing NBA basketball?!?!?! I was kinda shocked when he came out on the floor because he had been hiding on the bench. That man is very large and one of the worst free throw shooters ever. He throws like a girl. (Sorry, the picture is a little blurry, but you can see it's him!) And the Jazz dancers, they weren't very good either. Kind of sloppy and didn't do a great job holding their formations. I know what my Dad is going to say, you don't go to sports games to look at cheerleaders, or something like that. He is usually annoyed by the dancers constantly on the field or floor and the players standing around waiting for them to finish their little dance so they can play the game. There are some random pictures from the game last night posted. The picture to above is a view from our seats to the court and an "action shot"! The picture to the right is a view from my seat. We were even privileged enough to get to see Larry H. Miller himself being taken out of the arena in his wheelchair. Kyle said last night that he had been to games before, but had never been close enough to see the players faces. It's true....at least for my first game, I had good seats.

Thanks Babe, for taking me to my very first NBA Jazz game. I had a lot of fun and now I can say that I've been to a game.

WOW!! YOu are moving up in the world now! Maybe next time you should do some research of the other team and the team you are going to see so you know who is playing lol! You are the fan that I would be making fun of if you said, I didn't know O'Neal was still playing! Just kidding! It's ok, I understand you don't pay attention to all that! Congrats on your first game!
